Ion enhancement
ion enhancement ionization enhancement Phenomenon in which the ionization efficiency of a compound is increased by the presence of another compound. Note: The effect is most significant in electrospray ionization but is also observed in atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and to a lesser extent in other ionization methods.
