Isomeric ion having the same number of each isotopic atom but differing in their positions. The term isotopomeric is a contraction of ??????????????????????isotopic isomer?????????????????????????. Isotopomeric ions can be either configurational isomers, e.g. the radical cations of dichloropyridines in which 35Cl and 37Cl exchange positions or isotopic stereoisomers, e.g. the radical cations of (R)- and (S)-CH3CHDOH or (Z)- and (E)-CH3CH=CHD.
