From Mass Spec Terms
DRAFT DEFINITION |
Hydrogen/deuterium exchange |
---|
A technique used for exploring the conformational structure of analyte by means of the surface accessibility with a deuterated reactant. The deuterium-labeling reaction is carried out either in the gas-phase inside a mass spectrometer or in the solution-phase prior to introduce the sample into a mass spectrometer. |
