| Isomeric ion having the same number of each isotopic atom but differing in their positions. The term isotopomeric is a contraction of ??????????????????????isotopic isomer?????????????????????????. Isotopomeric ions can be either configurational isomers, e.g. the radical cations of dichlorobenzenes in which 35Cl and 37Cl exchanges positions or isotopic stereoisomers, e.g. the radical cations of (R)- and (S)-CH3CHDOH or (Z)- and (E)-CH3CH=CHD.
